TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB.

The District Committee of the Taranaki Jockey Club met on Tuesday night. Present; Messrs. L. A. Nolan (in the chair), G. Fraser, S'. Pitt, 0. W. Sole, W. J'. Morrison, C. H. Washer,’ J. Gray, and B. H. Chaney. The Egmont Racing Club’s classic races for its summer meeting of 1922 wore approved. The following licenses wore granted: —Trainers: W. Pine, jun., J. Priestley, J. (Brown, D.iJ. Barlow, P. AV. Scally, D. Stockman, R. Johnson, P. Johnson, W. F. Mantle, G. Campbell. Jockeys: G. Ward, AV. AVost, J. 0. M’Carten, H. H. Johns, A. C. Ward, F. R. Johnson, E. J. Reid. Apprentice jockeys’ licenses: C. P. Cotter, F. Cook, A. Rutherford, M. J. Conway, A. J. M'Cormac, S. Anderson. Gentlemen riders’ certificates were granted to AV. E. P. Rose and F. C. Anstis. A resolution was passed expressing sympathy with Mr. E. P. AVebster (the secretary) in his illness, and hopes for a speedy and complete recovery.
