POPULAR MUSIC. In a saloon near the stockyards in Chicago there is a patent player piano that will enjoy its present huge popularity as long as it can escape the vigilance of the sleuths enforcing the eighteenth constitutional amendment, says the Tribune. Its “music” is obtained by placing a half-dollar in a slot and turning a circular indicator to_ a point opposite your favourite “song,’’ at the same time placing a gloss under u certain, spout beneath the keyboard.
