A READY-WITTED CONSTABLE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received June 12,, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, Juno 11. During an attack on the police barracks at Carraghdrohid (County Clare) a constablu dropped his rifle and played a violin with the idea of cheering his comrades. The attack failed, but the barracks were partly destroyed by explosives and petrol,—Times.
