A few days ago you had an article in the “Herald" advising farmers - to plant trees in any waste land they had m view of their prospective value in years to come. The 'i’ikorangi Cemetery Board has had occasion to cut down and remove three macrocarpa trees which were growing in the cemetery ground. Tlie hoard had them split into posts and firewood, which were sold at public auction last Saturday. 1 am enclosing a copy of the quantity and prices received which may be of interest to your readers.
