The rocketing prices of news print are seriously affecting the papers in Canada, while the editors of German papers declare that paper in Germany costs twenty times the pre-war prices. The United States to bo badly hit owing to Canada seeking to prohibit the importation of raw material and force manufacture within the Dominion. The difficulty is in obtaining the necessary machinery, which aggravates the position in Canada. The crisis there, as elsewhere where there are ample supplies of raw materials, is regarded as only temporary, and will disappear when machinery is available. —Reuter Service.
