EMPLOYERS AND WORKERS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 9. The local Employers’ Association has endorsed the proposal adopted at the annual meeting of the Employers’ Federation and has set up a committee to bring about a now order of relationship between the employers and workers. It has also appointed eight representatives to confer with other centres in Wellington. INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC. MORE DOMINION FIGURES. WELLINGTON, Dec. 9. Cases of influenza, reported between December 4 and 8 are: —Auckland, 77 mild, one pneumonic, 11 severe, total 89; Wellington, Ho mild, four pneumonic, one severe, total 30; _ Canterbury, six mild, two pneumonic, three severe, total 11; Otago, two mild, one pneumonic, total three. The Chief Health Officer stated that the increase for the whole week is only 1.4 on the previous week. There is no sign of a wave of infection.
