REPATRIATION.

NEW PLYAIOUTH COAIMITTEE. A meeting of tho New Plymouth Repatriation Committee was held on Monday evening. Present: Messrs. W. J. Chaney (in chair), C. Carter, H. R. Cattloy, R. J. Clarke, T. Furlong, F. Hartnell, T. O. List, F. W. Okey, J. R. Rowlands. E. Whittle and the secretary (A. S. Alien). The secretary reported that three names remained on the unemployed register. An application from two 'returned men for a loan of £SOO to purchase a general store business was recommended for approval. Six applications for loans of £SO each to purchase furniture were granted. Another for £2O to purchase sheep dogs, bridle, etc., was also approved. An application for continuation of university training interrupted by the war was recommended to tho Alinisterial Hoard for approval, and an apprentice resuming his indentures was granted a sustenance allowance for six months.
