Mr. Bates’ forecast for the 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day is as follows: The indications are for south-easterly winds moderate to strong, squally at times; weather probably cold and changeable with scattered showers; the. night will probably be very cold; the barometer has a rising tendency; seas rough, tides good.
