Mr. H. Fowler, who for the past seven and a-half years has been Government auditor m the Taranaki district and who leaves shortly on transfer to Wellington, was entertained a few days ago at dinner at the White Hart Hotel by a few personal friends. Mr. A. Brookman referred to the high esteem in which Mr. Fowler was held, and extended best wishes for his future. On behalf of those present he also expressed pleasure in presenting to Mr. Fowler a handsome suit case as a small token of their regard. Mx. Fowler suitably replied.
