SEEN IN CONGO STATE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. CAPETOWN Dec. 5. News has been received from Elizabethvillo apparently corroborating the existence of a prehistoric monster called the brontosaurus, for which tho Smithsonian Institute expedition is searching. AMJdgian hunter, Mr. Gapelle, who has returned from the interior of the Congo, states that he followed straujge spoor 12 miles and he sighted a beast certainly of tho rhinoceros order. It had large scales reaching far down a very thick kangaroo-Hko tail, a horned snout, and a hump back. Ho fired shots at the monster, which threw up its head and disappeared into a swamp.—Atis.N.Z.
