FEDERAL ELECTIONS.
MR. RYAN’S CAMPAIGN. ROUSING GREAT OPPOSITION'. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received Dec. 6, 9.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 6. Mr. Ryan’s financial record in Queensland and the large and increasing number of unemployed there, resulting allegedly from legislation passed during his regime, are being used as a weapon by the Nationalist press and candidates to counter his lavish promises to the electors, particularly soldiers, if Labour is returned to power. Mr. Ryan's irruption into Federal politics is” deeply resented by the Nationalists, who freely charge his desertion of Queensland politics to having made the northern State to hot for him. —Aus.-N.Z.
