THE RIMU. The Rimu made a fairly smart trip to Onehunga last night, arriving there before 9 a.m. She is due back boro as usual to-morrow morning and sails in the evening. KARAMU DELAYED. The Karamu has been delayed and will not leave Lyttelton until Monday. She may bo expected here about Wednesday morning. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED. Onehunga, December 4.—Rimu (8.40 a.m.), from New Plymouth. Newcastle, December 4.—Rakanoa, from Auckland. SAILED. Wellington, December 4.—Remuera I (8.30 a.m.), for London, via Panama. ; Newcastle, December 4.—Kaiapoi i and Pakoha, for New Zealand. AJANA CHANGES HANDS. The New Zealand Shipping Company announced in Wellington on Tuesday that the company had completed tho purchase of the well-known steamer Ajana. Tho Ajana has been a regular trader to Australia ever since she was launched. She is a steel twin-screw steamer of 7759 tons gross and 4873 tons net, and was built in 1912 by Messrs. Russell and Co, at Port Glasgow to tho order of the Australind Steam Shipping Company, Ltd., of London. She is 454 ft. beam, and has a depth of 36ft. - Tho Ajaniv is fitted with electric light, and refrigerating machinery, the system of refrigerating being brine and charcoal, tho ice-melting capacity being 93 per • hour. Her refrigerated capacity is of six chambers, carrying 180,000 cubic tfeet. Her deadweight capacity, including bunkers and cargo, is 10,400 tons and her speed is 13 knots. Captain A. Hunter is in command of the vessel. Tho Ajana was last in Wellington on October 23, when she arrived to tho agency of the New Zealand and African Company from London, via Panama Sydney, and Wellington. Tho Niagara arrived at Vancouver from Auckland on November 25, and according to c able advice left on the return trip on November 30. The Manuka was scheduled to leave Sydney to-day for Wellington.
