SOLDIERS’ ORPHANS.

The Government has approved a scheme to provide 12,000 soldiers’ orphans with sustenance and education, involving approximately £BOO,OOO and spread over 14 years. It is ctpial to an annual expenditure of £07,000, which is computed on a basis of an average cost per bead of 12s 6d weekly for two years. .
