POINTS OE AGREEMENT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. WASHINGTON, Nov. 29. The International Labour Conference chose M. Albert Thomas, the French Labour leader, as Director-General of the International Labour Office under the League of Nations. The conference also adopted reports dealing with unemployment, the abolition of private employment agencies, the establishment of Government employment bureaux, and unemployment insurance. It was decided that recruiting of labour in one country for work in another shall be permitted only on the basis of mutual agreement. The establishment of an eight-hour day, a 4S hour week, and the abolition cf night work for women were also agreed upon. :—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
