Colonel Foster, of Preston, who visited New Plymouth on Wednesday, was taken to the North Egmont Mountain Hostelry in the afternoon, and was dewith the drive. He expressed the opinion that this is the most picturesque district he has visited in New Zealand, and he is no stranger to the Dominion, He is the head of the great firm or printing-machine manufacturers, and .has been Mayor of Preston He left for Wellington by the mail train this morning.
