FIRE ON LINER.

DUE TO COPRA CARGO. By Telegraph—Press Assn,—Copyright. LONDON, Dec. 1. The fire on the Swakopmund has been extinguished. It was apparently due to spontaneous-, combustion. The cargo consisted entirely of copra, of which all but 500 tons was discharged before the outbreak, About 220 tons was totally destroyed. The prompt extinction was due to a lucky chance that two floating fire ■uigines, which had been working on ,he Prinz Hubertus, were still in dock, end were able to start a few minutes after the outbreak was reported.—Aus- , N.Z.
