HUGE AMERICAN LINERS.
CRITICISED BY BRITISH EXPERTS By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received August 2, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON. July 29. - Shipping circles are somewhat dubious about the commercial practicability of America’s proposed gigantic liners, the cost of which will be prodigious. It is estimated that they will cost at least four millions sterling each. The promoters apparently arc a syndicate unconnected with any of the big Atlantic companies, which, according to present information, are unlikely to build similar colossal ships.
