Rain ceased just prior to the kick-off. Rahotu had, elected to play with the wind', which was farily strong, and a kick took the hall into touch a few yards from Old Boys’ lino. From the line-out Jimmy Waiwiri, one of the Rahotu front-row players, broke through and scored, but the kick by M. Kidd failed. Shortly afterwards the game was taken to the other end of the field, and a; passing rush by Old Boy backs ended in N. Little touching down. C. H. Hughes failed to convert. H. Bayly (Old Boy five-eighth) was just short of scoring after making a fine run.
