They are supported by the Catholic and Independent Socialists from entirely different motives. The former desire to unite with the Tyrol Austrian Germans’ and form a Catholic State of Central ■ Europe. This plan meets with the approval of Rome. The Independent Socialists want to create a southern State opposed to the Majority Socialists of northern Germany, ultimately hoping to pave the way to apply Independent doctrines all oyer Germany.
