PERSONAL.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Dixon, Marten, are spending a holiday in New Plymouth and are staying at Rahui. Mr. J. Corrigall, who underwent an operation at Dunedin on Tuesday, is progressing favourably. Mrs. W. J. Smith has received advice that her son, L. E. Smith (“Hippo ) is returning on the Prinzessen, due about the 25th. Colonel D. S. Wylie, C.M.G., New Zealand Medical Corps, has assumed the duties of officer commanding Trentham Military Hospital, Lieu-tenant-Colonel E. E. Porritt, New Zealand Medical Oorpl, having relinquished the temporary command of the hospital, has been retained for special duty.
