THE PICTURE WORLD.

EVERYBODY’S. OLGA PETROVA IN “TEMPERED STEEL” TO-NIGHT. The famous Olga Petrova appears at Everybody’s to-night, and at the matinee and 1 night sessions to-morrow in “Tempered Steel,’ her fourth big su-per-feature for First National Exhibitors. In “Tempered Steel” all critics agree that Mme. Olga Petrova reaches the height of her career, that never has she done better work, never been so consistent and realistic. She has succeeded in getting away from herself and heir mannerisms, and Ralph Ince, the director, has cut out practically all close-ups, which have so often marred previous Petrova pictures. She has also secured a remarkable story—one of the strongest in which she has appeared, and the part alotted her suits her better than anything she has yet done. The Moving Picture World says; “Mme. Petrova has never dona anything for the screen as well as she plays Lucille. She strikes fire when the action calls for such a display of .animation, and puts something of the impetuosity that belongs to a true daughter of the South into her work.” The News says: “We don’t remember ever having seen Mme. Petrova play with such naturalness and such power.” This big super-attraction is being screened at the usual prices.

THE PEOPLE’S

WILLIAM S. HART.

The popular favourite. Bill Hart, appears finally to-night in his latest great success, “Blue Blazes Rawdeu.” A» is usual with Hart’s pictures there is a great fight between J‘Blue Blazes” and Hilgard, saloon proprietor. The picture it not without sentiment, for it teaches a great lesson of what a great and beautiful thing a mother’s love is. 'Hie scene where Hilgard’s mother asks for her son, and “Blue Blazes” replies “Is dead,” is probably the finest that Hart has over done. JACK PIOKFORD TO-MORROW. “Mile a Minute Kendall,” Jack Pickford’s latest production, commencing at the matinee to-morrow at 2 p.m., will screen finally to-morrow night. This is a fine story of how Jack Kendall scorched through life until at last someone was found who believed in and cared for this poor son of a millionaire. On Monday night Kitty Gordon appears for one night only in the fine AVorld drama, “Tho Divine Sacrifice.”
