WAITARA.

FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT. June s.—The Fire Brigade ball, which took place on Tuesday, was one of the best that has been held. The loading of tho Kia Ora is expected to be finished to-day. Tho newly-formed Waitara Choral Society held a very successful first rehearsal last night'. There were about 80 voices. At a meeting of tho Chamber of Commerce held last night tho secretary read replies from other Chambers of Commerce endorsing tho Waitara Chambers’ resolution in favour of a Saturday half holiday.
