The Corinna was expected to sail at 2 o’clock this afternoon for Wellington. KAHIKA AND KAR-AMU. Tire Kahika, from Westport and Onehunga, with coal, and the Karamu, with cargo from Dunedin, are expected to be here to unload to-morrow. The Kahika afterwards loads cheeso. NEW LINERS. Great changes are taking place in transatlantic travel. New construction to replace the liners sunk by the 11boats is taking the form of a standard vessel of about 20,000 tons,'with a combination of passenger and cargo-carrying capacity. No new leviathans of the type of the, torpedoed White Star liner Britannic, of 48,000 tons gross register, and the Canard liner Lusitania, 32,000 tons, class are being built to replace the lost tonnage. The White Star had under construction the Homeric, 30,000 tons, when war broke out, but apart from this •single exception the building of great liners is not intended. OVERSEA CARGO STEAMERS.
