MALE CHOIR CONCERT.

TO-NIGHT. Tho New Plymouth Male Choir will give its sixth concert at the Good Templar Hall this evening. % On this occasion the choir has been fortunate enough to secure tho. assistance of Madame Johnstou-Topliss, a Sydney vocalist, who has found groat, favour with Now Zealand audiences wherever she has sung. Tor two consecutive years she was selected by Dr. Bradshaw, tho well-known Christchurch organist, to take the solos at his Christmas concerts, and Mr. Maughan Barnett, the Auckland organist, has engaged her on three occasions. Shu has also appeared on the concert platform at Dunedin, Wellington, Palmerston, Gisborne, and other places tinting the last two years, and on every occasion the press notices have been enthusiastic about her singing. Madame John-ston-Tupliss is a dramatic soprauo_ and lias a very extensive repertoire. There ivifl bo two opportunities for the local public to hear her, to-night and tomorrow, and we can safely recommend lovers of a lino voice and lino singing not to miss thorn. The Male Choir will render a number of new concerted songs as well as some of tho old favourites, and patrons may look forward to a very enjoyable evening. Tho programme appears in this issue.
