STAR CLUB. A general meeting of members of tlie Star Football Club was held on Monday night, Mr. A. Pearce presiding over a .large attendance of seniors and Thursday and Saturday juniors. Mr. J. Hoskin was elected a viccoaptain, also assistant manager and selector of the seniors. Mr. Guthrie was elected assistant manager and selector of the Saturday juniors. It was resolved to have all teams insured during the season. Six now members were elected. REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. The weekly meeting of the North Taranaki Referees’ Association was held on Monday night, when Mr. Whittaker, n recently returned soldier, was admitted to full membership, having passed the necessary test. Mr. Bruce Joll was also elected a member, subject to passing the necessary examination. The committee asks that all intending members should present themselves for examination next Monday, as it is urgently necessary that there should he an accession to tho ranks of the referees, in view of tho number of matches each week. This week it has been found necessary to appoint tho same men to fixtures on Thursday and Saturday, which is not always desirable or expedient. The. following appointments have been made for this week’s fixtures;- — THURSDAY. Juniors.—lnglewood v. Midhirst, at Inglewood, Mr. E. L. Humphries; Star v. Ttikapa. Mr. F. Roberts; New Plymouth Technical College v. Now Plymouth High School, Mr. Page; Toko v. Clifton, at Stratford, Mr, Thompson. Second Junior';.—lnglewood v. Star, at Inglewood, Mr. Whittaker; Eltham i v. Stratford, at Eltham, Mr. Nuttall. | SATURDAY. Seniors. —Tukapa v. Star. Mr. W. Roch ; Okato v. Rahotu, at Okato, Mr. L. 11.
