NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
MEET AT TTKORANGI. Despite the unfavourable weather there was a splendid muster at the moot of the Taranaki hounds at Mr. A. Woods’ property at Tikorangi on Thursday last. Hares wore plentiful, too much so in fact, and a lot of excellent country was traversed, including the farms of Messrs. AVood, Smart, C. Foreman, H. Foreman, A. Gables, P. Scrimenger and Sarten, which was all now to the Hunt and all of which had been well sparred, the settlers having gone to a great deal of trouble in this connection. Several of tho short runs were particularly exciting. Fourteen hunters followed throughout, jumping faultlessly tho whole afternoon, and the Master, Mr. A. H. Halcombo, specially complimented three young riders for the manner in which they rode. At the conclusion of the hunt Mr. and Mrs. Wood entertained the members and friends to afternoon tea, which was very keenly appreciated, Air. Halcombo suitably responding. On Thursday next the Hunt will meet at Mr. F. H. Sampson’s property. Sentry Hill.
