There was some discussion at the Taranaki County Council meeting to-day with reference to the increasing number of motor accidents, and it was decided to send a remit to the county councils conference advocating united action on the part of all local authorities so that drivers found guilty of negligence could be deprived of their licenses. A lino of 700 prime fat wethers was dispatched from Bltham on Friday, the Argus savs, to the Smart Hoad Breezin'* Works. They were the property of Mr. R. Brown of MangamingJ, and were an excellent illustration ot me splendid sheep that can be raised and fattened in Taranaki even in wintei weather. A long-night dance will he held in the Huiranga Hall to-morrow evening, Juno 3. Mrs. Moverley’s orchestra in attendance.
