MOTOR ACCIDENTS.

MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED

A collision between a motor-car and a motor-cycle occurred near the top of Standish Hill, New Plymouth, on Sunday morning, the result being that Mr, Eric Shaw, of Okato, received serious injuries to his head, and was taken to the public hospital. It was reported early this afternoon that his condition was serious. The car, which was proceeding towards the centrb of the town, was being driven by Mr. Ileube, of Weetown. A second man who was riding on the motor-cycle with Mr. Shaw escaped with practically no injury. A motor-cycle ridden by a Maori collided w'it'h a car in Devon Street near the Hobson Street corner on Saturday afternoon, but it appears that the rider of the cycle, though heavily thrown, was not badly injured.
