It is just a year ago to-day Since cruel death has snatched from view, A loving father, kind and true. Death from our minds efface, His tender smile, his loving face; His words, his* actions, are not dead, But in our minds are daily read, ’Tis hard to break the tender cord, When love has bound the heart; ’Tis hard, so hard to speak the words, We for a time must part. —lnserted by his loving wife and . children.
KILPATRICK.—In loving memory of our darling Robert, who died May 30,
One lonely year has passed away, Since our great sorrow fell; And in our hearts we mourn the loss Of one we loved so well. The flowers we place upon his grave, May wither and decay; But love for him who lies beneath Will never fade away. —lnserted-by his loving parents, sisters and brothers.
