EMBARGO TO BE LIFTED SHORTLY.

WELLINGTON, May 28. The Minister of Public Health stated to-day that the fact that the Manuka had been declared a clean ship pointed to the possibility of the embargo on. passenger traffic with Australia being lifted at an early date, lie hoped within a day or two to bo able to announce that the restricted passenger traffic would be immediately resumed from Melbourne and Sydney.
