WEDDING.

BROWN—LAURENCE A, very pretty wedding was solemnised at the bride’s home on Easter Monday by tho Rev, E. L. Harvie, of Inglewood, the contracting parties being Evaline, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Laurence, of Durham Road, and Leonard D. Brown (lato 14th Reinforcements), third son of Joseph Brown, also of Durham Road, The bride, who was given away by her father, looked pretty in a brown tailored costume with pale blue crepe-de-chine hat and blouse, and she carried a lovely shower bouquet of autumn leaves and pale blue and white flowers. She was attended by Alice and Ethel, sisters of tho bridegroom, who j were dressed in brown, and green rospec-' tively and carried beautiful bouquets of autumn leaves and flowers to match their dresses. Tho bouquets were tho ' work of Mrs. T. Wheeler. Tho duties of supporting tho bridegroom were capably carried out by Mr. E. Parli, of Inglewood (late of the Main Body), asT best man, and Mr. W. Brown’, of New , Plymouth (cousin of the .bridegroom), as ! groomsman. After the ceremony a boun- i tiful wedding breakfast was partaken of in a large marquee erected on the lawn for the purpose. There were nearly 100 guests. Tho tables, which wore arranged by Mesdames Lile, Johnston and Hodges, looked very pretty. Several toasts were proposed • and "replied to, after which tho happy couple left by motor-car, bound south on their honey- ' moon. Tho presents were numerous and costly* including cheques and notes.
