UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 22. The University Tennis Tournament was continued to-day in wretched weather, frequent showers making conditions very unpleasant. Otago wins the men’s singles and doubles; Auckland the ladies’ singles and doubles; and Victoria College tho combined doubles. Otago and Auckland tie with two points vo each, Victoria College next with 1 point, and Canterbury nil. Tho athletic sports were held in wretched weather. Shield points were gained as follows; Wellington 18, Otago 17, Canterbury 3, Auckland 1. Results were as follows: Putting the weight; Coombe (Canterbury) 1, Kinkston (Otago) 2; Mile flat; Wiren (Wellington) 1, Williams (Wellington) 2. 220 yards; Sumpter (Otago) 1, Barber (Wellington) 2.
