OF EX-CROWN PRINCE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. BERNE, April 17. The Grand Duchess Anastasio of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, replying to a report that the German Crown Prince intends applying for a divorce, has sent a statement to Swiss newspapers that her daughter has commenced divorce proceedings against the Crown Prince, and is able to prove numerous infidelities, atrocious brutality, and the grossest cruelty, including blows by which her face was disfigured. The Princess long ago desired a divorce, but the Holienzollerns dissuaded her owing to the scandal that would follow. Once the Princess fled from her home, owing to his cruelty, and was arrested at the Swiss frontier and taken back to Berlin like a common criminal.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
