Sir, —The Natives who are in the Bell Block Hospital are all -well and strong and are treated with the very best of care, plenty of food, plenty of anything that the Maori wants, good beds, plenty of blankets, and very clean, too, and all the Maoris like Mr. W. E. Rogers, who is in charge, because he treated them so well. Mr. .Rogers is very good to the Maoris, pleases them with anything they want. Drinks of all kinds they get, lemon drink, hot water arid milk, and tea and other sweet drinks. The Maoris like this very much, hut all the Natives who are in Mr, Rogers’ care like the Puhg. very much Maori cabbages. . The. farmers Trom Bell Block district, both _ Maoris and Pakehns, are always visiting us every day. They like to know how the sickness is getting on. They bring lot ofi foods too, such as custard, pudding, jelly, rice and lot. pf, other kinds of food for tire Natives! 'But the Maoris drink so much water that they dry tha tank out. Kia Ora.
