A GOVERNOR’S OFFER. OF SERVICES FOR WAR WORK. i (Received April 25, 9.50 a.m.; ADELAIDE, April 25. The Governor (Lieutenant-Colonel Sir H. L. Galway, born 1869) has offered the Imperial Government his services for war work in any capacity. The Secretary for the Colonies replied thanking him, but considered that Colonel Galway was doing Lis host for the country by remaining in his present position. THE AVAR LOAN CLOSED. (Received April 25, 12 noon.) MELBOURNE, April 25. The AVar Loan has closed. The amount exceeds 40 millions, bult the exact figures are not stated.
