OAKURA.
FUOII OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. Jan. 24.—Things are going along very quietly. Tlio milk has gone down rather early this year. Our county .madmen are kept busy putting day on the, roads, the clay gets dry and the mo/tor cars como along at a great speed, a cloud of dust is raised by the ear and is blown away, with the wind. That is the way a 101/iif the ratepayers money goes. Some better .way ..should be found of keeping the metal on the road and in good order for this motor traffic. . . Our harvest thanksgiving is to he held on Sunday night. The collection of fruit, vegetables, etc., is to be sold on Monday night, and the evening is to wind up with a- dance, the proceeds to be divided between the church and the Wounded iSoldiers’ Fund. Wo wish them, eyery gucceee-anda ftood.n^kU
