NATIONAL MUTUAL LIFE. ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. i Mr. F. W. Nicholson, manager in New Zealand for the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia, Ltd., has received the following cable message from the head office. Melbourne: Tlfe forty-eighth annual meeting of the National Mutual Life Association was hold at Melbourne on December 28, when there was a. good attendance of members. The chairman, ing the adoption of the rep'ort and balance-shoot, congratulated members on the continued prosperity of the association. The new business for the year exceeded £3,500.000, being £270,000 more than in any previous year. The total income shows an increase over last year of £109,000. and now stands at walkover £1,750,000. Payments to nfciubers during the year amounted to £846,000, an increase of £83.000 oyer last year, duo to the heavy war claims, but, notwithstanding this, the sum of £750,000 was added to the assurance fund—the largest addition ever made in one year. The total funds of the association are now close on £11.000,000 a recorfl that the members may well be proud of.
