WELLINGTON v. CANTERBURY. PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Jan. 22. Wellington won the match by seven wickets. Canterbury’s second innings produced 228, Gray scoring 87 by vigorous cricket. Requiring 235 runs -to win, Hiddle. stone and Wilson opened for Welling* ton, and scored 103 before/hpinSySsp-' arated by Wilson getting his leg ill front to Thomas. Burton played stead< ily, but at 157 lost Hiddlestone, whbwas bowled by Reese. Dind caine next, scoring slowly, put Baker, the next man, played, more freely, and, with Burton, got the necessary runs.
