WOMEN’S PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE.
At the final business meeting of tiie Now Plymouth Women’s Patriotic Committee, held yesterday, members expressed their appreciation of the very generous and Party sympathy shown by the public towards the work of the comand it was unanimously resolved that. “The Women’s Patriotic Committee dcsiro to publicly thank all those who have in the past year so generously supported the committee in their work for the soldier in camp, transport and the men on active service, and extend to all Christmas and New Year greetings.” The Mayoress and committee regret that owing to the work in the depot having greatly increased during the year they find it impossible to continue the combined effort at the weekly Saturday Mart,_ but feel sure the public will respond in the same generous manner as hefo'-e when patriotic need arises. As the rooms are now closed until February, will friends please note that Sir. Ashe! - , treasurer, care of Messrs. Burgess, Fraser and Co., will receive all parcels and donations.
