MEETING AT TIMARU. TBB PRESS /CSOCIiXION. TIM ABU, Dec. 4. A meeting of the Dominion Executive of the Protestant Political Association passed a resolution endorsing tho Rev. Mr. Elliot’s action in refraining to give evidence, expressing confidence in. Sir. Elliott and denying that the association has attacked the religions ■practices or morals of Roman Catholics, hut stating that the political menace ot Romanism is the ground of appeal, livery Protestant must take sides_ to secure tho national system of education, the equitable administration of the laws, the nreservation of liberty of speech, and other matters.
