RIFLE SHOOTING.

(By "Scout.") The final competition for t]ie trophy presented by Messrs. White and ; Sons took place on Thursday and Saturday afternoon. . On both days the vagaries of the wind resulted in catastrophe for many experienced marksmen, slight gusts, periods of calm, changes of direction cam© with great rapidity which, combined with the long distances, resulted in some very low scores. The winner is Bineman Coppen, whose score of 'B7 under the circumstances was a. good one. Results as follows:

Rifleman Moore fired in two competitions, his aggregate for the two being .172. Other members:have also fivecfone competition only, but there is no chance of their winning even it their competitions omitted were reinstated.
