MEETING AT HAWERA. 'A meeting of Taranaki members of the New Zealand Institute of Architects was held at Hijwera oh Thursday. Mr. Messenger presided. A welcome to Hawera * was 1 extended to the visiting members by Mr. Duilill. Minutes of previous meeting were' read and confirmed. Correspondence to and - from tKo' secretary ofthe N.Z.I.A. re the formation'of a district branch was road and dealt with. A list of members of the Taranaki Master Builders’ Association was received, and it was resolved to urge all builders outside the association to join. Besplntipns respecting ( the depositing of copies of plans and specifications ! with the' local bodies were passed and will he forwarded to all local bodies in Taranaki. Suggested amendments'to thn gon'oral cohditiphs of "contract were diseased, Aid resolutions passed to be forwarded for the consideration" of 'the N;Z: -Institute. -A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Healy for the-excellent ‘arrangements made and Ids hospitality on" the occasion of the meeting at Stratford. The next meeting will he held alt Now Plymouth, date to ho fixed hy the local architects. Members' wore' most' hospitably' entertained by the Hawera members.
