TO-DAY’S WEATHER.

Mr. Bates’ forecast for the twenty, four hours from 9 a.m. to-day, is as follows; ' The indications are for variable and strong breezes, hut smooth prevailing winds, freshening and backing fay north to_ west. Weather cloudy to overcast; rain probable. The barometer has a falling tendency soon; sea heavy; tides, good, swciL
