A MAORI KING’S VIEWS. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Dec. 10. The Maori King Te Rata denies haring called a meeting to be held at Waahi, Huntly, to-morrow. ' Ho has called a meeting for December 18 to discuss matters affecting the welfare of Natives generally. Te Rata declined any opinion on military service or the attitude of. the Maoris to conscription. He was no anti-militarist and denied having sent a letter to King George asking his Majesty to take steps to stop the cruel war. Ho recognised that-tha nations must fight to a finish.
