A SOLDIER’S SUICIDE. FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Oct. 80. William Hancock, aged 31 years, a native of Cornwall, England, fatally shot himself in the mouth with a revolver in the public gardens this mornin". Hancock was a non-commissioned officer in the Eleventh Reinforcements. He was a member of the Main Expeditionary Eorce and had returned invalided and rejoined the Eleventh Reinforcements. It is understood he left a letter explaining the reason for his deed,
