GERMAN FORCES NEARING LEMBERG. HOW HE. BETAN WOULD END THE WAE. There is not much news to-da t T. On. the western front there have Been no new developments and, on the eastern front, the Russians have not yet been able to check the force of the AuslroGerman advance. If the German reports are to be credited the Russian line is threatened to the north of Lemberg, between Zo'lkiew and Rawaruska. A breach here would seriously endanger communication with Lemberg. ATe can only hope that the tide will soon turn. Mr. Bryan’s remarks about the war show that he absoluielyfails to grasp the position, and prove him to be an absolute fanatic—a man who is so obsessed by his theories that facts have nc roeaning for him.
