Subject to necessary alterations mails will close at the Chief Post Office as under;— For Auckland and North, per steamer, Tuesday and Friday, at. 7 p.m., and daily, per train, af“fj.ls a.m. For Wellington and South, daily, at 6.15 a.m. and 12.20 p.m. -For Wanganui and intermediate offices, daily, at 6.15 a.in., 12.20 and 3.55 p.m. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe. West. Judies, Central America, British, French, and Dutch Guiana, U.S. Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela., Mexico, United State:; of America and Canada, via San Francisco; also Tahiti, Peuvhyn Islands and Rarotonga, at 12.20 p.m. Duo London, July 25. (Money orders close 4 p.m., Tuesday, for U.S. of America and Canada.) For Australian States, _ South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, East Indies, Straits Settlements, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, via .Wellington, at 12.20 p.m. (Money orders closo 11 a.m.) SATURDAY, JUNE 26. For Tonga, Samoa and Fiji (per s.s. Atua, from Auckland), at 6.15 a.m. For Australian States, Straits Settlements, East Indies ami South Africa, via Auckland, at 6.15 a.m. N.B.—Mails sent via Suez are subject to heavy delay, and under ordinary circumstances arrive in London later than mails dispatched from New Zealand by the next Vancouver or San Francisco steamer. Only specially addressed correspondence is now sent via Suez. The times for closing mails for places beyond the Dominion aro liable to alteration (earlier or later). Registered letters, parcel-post parcels, and, unless otheiwiso specified, moneyorders, close one hour before the ordinary mail. C. H. BURTON, Chief Postmaster.
