INVALIDS BY THE MOKOIA. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, June 17. Inquiry at the Defence Oiiisa showed ! that only a few of the men who returned by the Mokoia yesterday are seriously ill, many of them having largely or partially recovered. The remainder are suffering from a variety of complaints. Some twenty of the men were discharged to-day, the medical authorities considering they were sufficiently well to return home. The remainder are undergoing medical treatment, but will probably be ready for discharge by the end of the week. WALRARAPA SHOWS THE .WAY. MASTERTON, June 18. The flag presented by Mrs. Hugh Morrison, of Masterton, was sold at a patriotic concert at Greytown and realised £7036. The highest bidder was Mr-. John M'Mastor, who gave a section of land valued at £4OOO. Sir Walter Buchanan added another £IOOO to his already largo contributions. Altogether during the last two days over £15,000 has been subscribed to the Wairarapa wounded soldiers’ fund.
