The annual meeting of the Taranaki Acclimatisation Society takes place in the Town Hall to-night at 8 o’clock. The East End Committee advertise that another of their enjoyable socials will be held next Thursday in the Pavilion. The shooting season opened very auspiciously on Saturday, and the weather conditions were perfect.
