ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
FATAL MOTOR "ACCIDENT. PEa PRESS ASSOCIATION. DANNEVIRKE. May 3. At the inquest on Alfred Herbert, found dead on the roadside at Te Ohu Hill, Norsewood, on Saturday, a verdict of accidental death was returned. A rider was added that it was the duty of the local governing body to attend to a number of "dangerous places on the road to Norsewood. The Coroner said it was a wonder more accidents did not occur on this road. WELLINGTON GAS POISONING. WELLINGTON. Mav 3. Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., opened an inquest this afternoon concerning the death of the five victims of gas suffocation on Friday. After hearing evidence of the finding of the bodies on the linos already reported the inquiry was adjourned till next Monday.
